Rivit Wars

Rivit Wars looks like it is going to be an absolute blast that probably would attract more than just your geeky gamer types.  The miniatures are very approachable, so I am sure ladies and gamers with kids could have a lot of fun playing as well.   They sort of look like Legos.

The game is currently up on KickStarter.

Trench2114 Heer Infantry

John from Trench2114 sent some review samples of the new Trench2114 Heer Infantry.  I have to say, I think these are his best work yet.  Loads of detail and cool trench coats.  What's not to like.  Unlike the previous release of the Panzer troopers, you get 5 different variations of the Heer light infantry vs 3 of the Panzer troopers. The figures I received only had a little bit of flash on the bottom of the bases.  Basically no prep.  They have a small emblem on their helmet, but I think I need a different camera to zoom in on the detail.  These should be fun to paint up.

A blister pack blister contains (10) Heer light infantry, consisting of 8 basic infantry (3 different poses), an Officer and a soldier with heavy weapon for $5.50.

John has a bunch of free rules to use with these figures.  He also has a little background history.

Clone Tanks

Looking for a cool objective, how about some clone tanks by West Wind Productions.  I thought Bob Olley also made one of these, but it doesn't appear like he is selling any.

warheads medieval tales, ipad

For those of you out there that have ipads, you should go check out a game called Warheads Medieval Tales.  Really fun game.  You control a maximum of 4 characters battling all sorts of bad guys.  The game comes free, but if you want to get certain special items, you are required to pay extra. 

The game works as a character builder, so as you progress in the game, your characters get stronger and your able to select skills to make them perform better.  There is also a miniature game by the same name and you can find all about it by visiting the Warheads Medieval Tales website.

Firestorm Invasion, Spartan Games, Studio Sparta

Up are renders and painted samples of the upcoming Firestorm Invasion figures from Spartan Games Studio Sparta. From what I understand these will be 15mm instead of the 10mm they had originally planned for.  You can see a bunch more pictures here

WWII Snipers

I thought this picture of a sniper platoon was rather interesting.  Now is this photoshopped or did they actually try to shoot down planes this way.
