Baueda Games, 15mm bases

Baueda Wargames has released some really cool 15mm bases perfect for Flames of War or Alien Squad Leader.

There are four different 4 holes Infantry scenic bases (urban) each 50mm wide by 32mm deep (2" x 11/4").   The bases are cast in tough polyurethane resin and beautifully sculpted to accommodate four 15mm figures. While the bases from Battlefront are effectively flat these are approximately 2mm thick and on top of that there is textured terrain and details added. As a consequence you can easily pick these bases up from the edges, meaning that you’ll never have to grab the figures themselves anymore! Designed to be fully compatible with Flames of War standard basing, the surface include ruined buildings rubble and all sort of improvised repairs that troops will naturally look for and use for cover while moving.  Supplied unpainted.

Baueda Wargames has a nice selection of other 15mm bases.  Here is a set of command bases.

Dream Pod 9, Gear UP Magazine, Issue 3

A new Issue of Gear Up Magazine is now available.

Medics are on the way!  With the new HHT-90 Overlord model hitting the shelves, the staff at Gear UP decided that the players would need some help in combating the monster vehicle. With the third installment of the magazine, the Fall issue of Gear UP brings a landship's worth of material to our readership. Inside this issue, you'll find second edition RPG and Blitz! materials the Boa and Gladiator, Arena miniatures releases.  We've included a new regular article called Terra Nova Terraformer, which showcases the talents of our in-house terrain artists as they show you how to build the terrain you see in our books.  Paul Workoff kicks it off with his tutorial on building terrain for your own arena in our latest game release, Heavy Gear Arena.

Our fieldtesting for this issue includes new rules for damage in Blitz! as well as rules for fielding the fantastic HHT-90 model.  Continuing with our medic unit showcased in the last issue, the release of the new Caiman model means the South gets a new combat group to add to their army list, but not to leave Peace River and PAK in the cold, we've also included new combat groups for them as well.

And we don't stop there! Interviews, more Prime Knight action, and a massive article covering the hidden wars fought by the black ops organizations on Terra Nova.

Golden Compass, Magisterium Zeppelin

If your looking for a cool Zeppelin for Dystopian Wars, There is a toy from Golden Compass called the Magisterium Zeppelin that looks like it would be perfect for an objective of some sort.  The Zeppelin is about 8 inches in length and about 2 inches wide.  I created an Amazon Store account if you would like to purchase one.  They retail for about $7.50 + shipping.

Soda Pop Miniatures, Super Dungeon Explore, Paladin

Here is today's sneak peak of Soda Pop Miniatures Super Dungeon Explore Paladin.
The paladin is the ultimate paragon of good. In the fight for truth and justice the paladin can summon his power to Smite the enemy knocking them to the ground and consuming them with fire. Combat is not the only avenue of this virtuous hero though. His Healer and Iron Halo abilities combined with his potent Elixir potion allow him to keep the entire party at peak fighting strength.

PlasmaBlast Games, Super Heavy Tanks

Marios from PlasmaBlast Games just informed me that his really cool Super Heavy Tanks are now available.  I have both these tanks and they are IMO some of his best work and some of the best 6mm tanks going.  Each tank retails for 8€ each.
After a long wait, I'm in the proud position to announce the release of
the Plasmablast Games Super Heavy Tanks. These are two extra-large chunks
of metal designed to bring that "little" extra on your gaming table. They
are armed to the teeth and beyond and I believe they will capture your
imagination. Please visit the site:

Mantic Games, Undead Revenant Cavalry

Mantic Games has come out with a cool set of cavalry called the "Undead Revenant Calvary".

Revenants are ancient heroes infused with a Necromancer’s power that rise to become deadly undead warriors. The Revenants form the armoured elite of a Necromancer’s army and when mounted on the unholy remains of their once revered war-charges, there are few living warriors with the strength or nerve to stand against them.
Containing ten finely detailed Resin/Plastic Revenant Knight figures, this special set includes what we believe are some of the very best Undead Cavalry on the market, and we are offering them at what we feel is a fantastic price!

Included in this set:

  • 10 x Revenant Knight Figures, including Champion, Musician and Standard Bearer
  • 10 x Horses
  • 10 x Cavalry bases (25mm x 50mm)
  • 1 x Mantic Case with protective foam
  • 2 x Undead Sticker Sheetswith Mantic Points
  • 1 x Undead Poster Guide
