Last night I got a little antsy and broke out a bunch of my 6mm Plasmablast Games figures. Along with those were sprinkled in some Ground Zero Games 2mm Germy's Micro Minis walkers, Steel Crown Productions - Exodus Wars Khazari Raiders and Dark Realm Miniatures Kraytonian Infantry.
Critical Mass Games and Rebel Minis also make some rather cool walkers that could be used in 6mm gaming.
Many gamers might not even realize that Ground Zero Games 2mm Germy's Micro Minis walkers look awesome in both 6mm and 15mm games.

Rise of the Occulites
If your looking for some kick butt way cool figures that look too fun for words, then you have to check out Rise of the Occulites. The miniatures are sculpted by Bob Olley, one of my favorite sculptors. The plan is to have at least 4 different tribes of miniatures (the big one eyed fellows) and probably a bunch of smaller ones. There are also 4 games in the works.
"Dawn – Rise of the Occulites" (Miniature Board Game)
“Race to Dusk” (Cardgame)
“Dusk – Rise of the Occulites” (Boardgame)
“Time of the Occulites” (Boardgame)
The first game in the series “Dawn – Rise of the Occulites” is a miniatures boardgame. It is set in a time when the Occulite civilisation is just forming. Occulites travel from cave to cave in small tribes. Daily life is tough, with Sungems and territory being vital to a tribe’s ability to survive. The game features objective based skirmish gameplay and sees you steer your tribe through a fully customisable campaign, but pick up and play scenarios are also on offer. Dawn uses an innovative card based action resolution system that is easy to use but difficult to master. This game is pretty much fully fleshed out and is just waiting of figure sculpts to be done before releasing.

ArtCrime Productions, Valkyries
A reader had asked to see some comparisons of the ArtCrime Productions Valkyries next to some Dream Pod 9 Heavy Gears. Here are some comparisons of the of the Valkyries next to some GZG 2mm/6mm figures and some Dream Pod 9 Southern Heavy Gears. As you can see the Dream Pod 9 Heavy Gears fit in nicely with the 15mm stuff from ArtCrime Productions.

Combat Wombat Miniatures, Medium Grav Tank
Here are some comparisons of the Combat Wombat Miniatures Medium Grav Tank. The tank is all resin and compares nicely to other 15mm manufacturer's medium tanks. This particular tank hull design is also used for the Medium Grav Tank ATGM and the SLAM.

MicroPanzer Wargame Studio, The British
Jason Moore from MicroPanzer Wargame Studio sent me some really nice 15mm figures in the form of British Sci-Fi troopers. Jason is running a great little promo deal of 51 figures for $25. He is also doing a Alien promo deal for the same price as well as selling the 15mm Light Assault Warbot for $10. The figures I received were extremely well cast and free of any noticeable defect. The weapons are unique and fun.

Khurasan Miniatures, Mystri Island
Some people may know that Khurasan Miniatures makes 15mm Sci-Fi, but they also have a range called Mystri Island Lost World. Some of the figures in this range are perfect for those Sci-Fi games when your looking to do something a little different.

Now that 15mm Sci-Fi is becoming popular, there are a lot of new alien faces on the scene.
Here are just a few of my favorites range combat aliens.
Ground Zero Games - Kra’Vak Power Armour and Phalon Infantry
Khurasan Miniatures - Karkarines and Garn
Ground Zero Games just recently released Ixx Warriors, Alien Mercs and Crusties. Khurasan Miniatures released the Felids. Of course there are the Spriggan Miniatures - Spugs. Critical Mass Games will be releasing some very promising looking Protolene Khanates, Kaamados Dominion and Praesentia
Here are just a few of my favorite close combat aliens.
