One Page Rules

I found a rather cool site called One Page Rules.  If you like 40K, Kill Team and other rules, but found that reading rule books too lengthy, check these guys out.  They have boiled down the basic rules into a single page.

The format is really nice, easy to read and will get you gaming fast.

Epic Armageddon

I have been in the Epic mode of late building an Orkish Epic army.

Epic is officially OOP (Stupid Decision), but that doesn't stop loads of people from playing.  For those that haven't tried Games Workshop Epic or for those that haven't played in a while, you might want to check these links out.

Epic Armageddon Compendium - This is the latest version of the rules and has army lists for the 40K universe.

Net Epic Army Compendium Calculator - This site has a great free army calculator for building out your Epic armies.

Epic Army Cards - These cards really help you know what the unit looks like and what it can do.  Very useful.

Epic Collectors Guide - Has a ton of images of all the Epic models produced.

Tactical Command - Fantastic Forum for all things Epic.

Here are places to find GW Epic Stuff
Amazon
Bartertown
ChaosOrc
Ebay
Tactical Command

Here are some great sites for finding alternative Epic sculpts

Onslaught Miniatures - Lots of alternative Epic figures.
Steel Crown Productions - Good site for alternative Epic.
Troublemaker Games - Great alternative Epic figures.

Now for those that have Supa Stompas, Steam Gargants laying around and don't know what to do with them, send them my way.

Department of Fabricant Management

Here is another ruleset for 15mm play called The Department.  This was a successful KickStarter project raising over $5k.  The rules appear to be scenario based and look rather fun.

No Limits, Rules

There is a free generic rule set out there called No Limits that looks really interesting.  The ruleset has been around for quite some time, but I have never given it a go.

No Limits uses an alternate unit activation system with play alternating until all units have been activated. When a model is activated, there are a number of actions available to each model which will determine what it may do.  Weapons and abilities cost certain actions and dictate what a model may or may not do.

No Limits comes with both a vehicle and model calculator, which allows you to create whatever model you deem appropriate.

If you are a fan of Warzone or Vor, you may really like how this ruleset plays.

Grunts, 15mm Rules

There is a new set of 15mm rules being worked on called Grunts.  Grunts is a dedicated 15mm fast play wargame designed for skirmish level play with between 10 to 40 figures per side using combined arms. You can use miniatures from any 15mm SCI-FI manufacturer. It is based around a generic platoon level battle, not restricted to a set genre or background setting. Vehicle and artillery rules are included for a combined arms gaming experience with statistics provided for all manufacturers of 15mm sci-fi and modern figures.

Kick Starter, The VOR 2.0 project

Here is something interesting on Kick Starter.  It seems Mike "Skuzzy" is using Kick Starter to help raise funds to try and publish VOR 2.0.  That would be great if he raises the money.  I have my Growlers waiting.

"Hey folks,
It is with great excitment that I share with you the news that a VOR 2.0 kickstarter project has just begun, and it will run for 60 days. If the project amount is reached (or exceeded) by that time then we will have all the necesary funds needed to finally publish the main rulebook for VOR 2.0! Which would be AWESOME!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bioplazm/the-vor-20-project

Please share the link to the VOR 2.0 KICKSTARTER page wherever you can; facebook, twitter, forums, etc. The more the link is spread out there the greater the chance we will have to get the funding we need to make this happen. When posting the link in gaming forums please be careful to use appropriate locations that might actually be interested.
