#18 Trailer Park Food

Comics are now moving to Mondays. I've detailed the reason for the move on my new blog. Long story short. Work has invaded my life and the 40 hours is invading my creative soul.

This week we get back to our roots with good 'ol American Trailer Park Food. Basically it's gourmet poor people's food.

Fenris Games, Modern Characters

Fenris Games is coming out with a line of 28mm modern characters.  Here is the first figure in the lineup.  There are 12-15 characters planned for the range and will be outfitted in similar gear and equipment, with a mix of male and female minis.   The miniature was sculpted by

The Scene.uk is about to release some more battlebots.  They should be ready by November 8th.

Combat Wombat Miniatures, Medium Grav Tank

Here are some comparisons of the Combat Wombat Miniatures Medium Grav Tank.  The tank is all resin and compares nicely to other 15mm manufacturer's medium tanks.  This particular tank hull design is also used for the Medium Grav Tank ATGM and the SLAM.

Splintered Light Miniatures - Gnomes

Here are some greens of Gnomes that Splintered Light Miniatures will be releasing.    You can see a bunch more pictures on Frothers   I really like David and I will certainly be picking these up.  I have always wanted a Gnome army and these guys look awesome.  The Gnomes were sculpted by Adam (Wiff Waff).  The range is going to include small gnomes, large gnomes, mushrooms and snails.  What is not to love.

Mega Miniatures, Alpha Forge Miniatures

Mega Miniatures has acquired Alpha Forge Star Mogal and supporting miniature line.  This is pretty cool news.  I always liked their miniatures.  Here is an overview of the full lineup of the Alpha Forge Star Mogal figures.   The game system will be renamed Salvage Crew.  I hear the rules will be released for free.

Combat Wombat Miniatures - Troop Command Bunker

As promised here are a few pictures of Combat Wombat Miniatures Troop Command Bunker.  There are a few air bubbles, but nothing some green stuff can't fix.  Overall the building is pretty cool and will look really nice on the table top once painted up.  Be sure to check out Combat Wombat Miniatures for their ever growing selection of vehicles and buildings.

Consortium - Skirmish Game

Here is a new skirmish game called Consortium.  I don't know much about the game other than it uses a D20.  Check out their download page.  The figures are made out of resin and are 32mm.

Critical Mass Games, Dragamaa Heavy Tank

Critical Mass Games Dragamaa Heavy Tank is out.  This tank reminds me a lot of the Halo tank.  Very cool.  The tank comes in 3 flavors (Heavy Plasma Cannon, Pulse Cannon or Gatling Slug Cannon)  and retails for £12.00.  If you buy 3 you get a bit of a discount £34.00 vs the £36.00 you would normally pay.

It looks like Reaper has some Limited Edition Mousling Zombies on sale now.  Get them while their hot, because they will be gone after October 31st from what I have read.

Mantic Games, German Zombies

In conjunction with Warlord Games, Mantic Games got together to produce a special set for Halloween - World War II Zombie Germans!  This set provides you with three Mantic Zombie Sprues, two Warlord German Infantry Sprues and a Warlord German Weapon Sprue. 

Coming from different manufacturers you will need to use your brains, braaaaiiiinnnss, delicious, juicy brains to make sure they go together.

The set contains enough models to at least make ten German Zombies - however if your really careful with your parts you could quite easily make up to twenty!

#17 - Robot Jesus

As promised, to make up for last week I got two comics out this week. Man, this is brutal. This week we follow Newning and Bana as they meet Robot Jesus.

Heer46, Weird War

I received a message from Denis the owner of the Heer46 blog. He is going to be producing some cool post WWII 15mm models. The focus will be on the vehicles and tanks of the Wehrmacht that were slated to be built after 1945. This will include tanks that have existed only on paper or in prototype form.  You can purchase the turret from Denis by visiting his blog.  This could be very cool for weird war type encounters.

Here is the Coelian Flakturm 5.5 cm based on a Panther tank. A 1-1 wooden model was built.

CthulhuTech, Wildfire

Last night I had the opportunity to see something pretty cool.  I don't know much about Cthulhu, but there is something called CthulhuTech.  I guess it is more like Cthulhu with guns, robots and stuff like that.  Basically a mixture of Cthulhu and Japanese animation.

Anyway it looks like there is going to be a skirmish game slated for August 2011.  The demo miniature looks pretty cool.
