I was browsing Kick Starter and came across a game that looked interesting called Gunship First Strike by Escape Pod Games. While not a miniature game, the mechanics looked cool. Here is the free ruleset.

Hawk Wargames, UCM Condor Medium Dropship, Scimitar Tank Destroyers
Here is Hawk Wargames UCM Condor Medium Dropship, containing 2 Scimitar Tank Destroyers. I am really liking the human armies in this game. I am not as excited about the alien ones. They are certainly different though.

Hawk Wargames Video
What I found interesting in the video is when Dave talks about the resin he is using. Some type of new bendable resin. Not sure what it is called though.

Hawk Wargames Neptune Medium Dropship
Here is the Hawk Wargames PHR Neptune Medium Dropship. I totally like the look of the Enyo Seige Walkers. At 99mm or almost 10cm this ship is pretty large.
One question I have. How are the walkers attached to the undercarriage? Are magnets going to be used or are there long rod inserts?

Studio McVey, Sedition Wars
Here are 2 really cool units for Studio McVey's Sedition Wars. They are from the Firebrand Rebellion Range and are called SWR015 T.H.I. Utility Carapace Mattock and Maul.
Each one retails for £21.99, which is rather steep, but they sure look cool.

Hawk Wargames, PHR Phobos AA Walker
Here is the upcoming Post Human Republic Phobos Anti-Air Walker from Hawk Wargames. Love the look of these. I am quite certain these would make great 15mm robotic walkers, since they would stand about twice the height of a human.

Hawk Wargames, Sabre MBT
Here is Hawk Wargames Sabre MBT. This is the main battle tank for the United Colonies Of Mankind. It's 34mm in length. I rather like the look of the tank. It has an interesting design and I wonder if it would actually be any good in real world conditions. I guess with the low profile, the gun could be raised to shoot over terrain.

Hawk WarGames, Dropzone Commander
Salute 2012 saw a new company by the name of Hawk Wargames showcase their sci-fi miniature line called Dropzone Commander. The figures are 10mm and look stunning. From everything that I have seen Dropzone Commander will include flyers (Including transports), infantry, walkers and vehicles.
Right now intel is a little sketchy. From what I can gather there are at least 4 main armies, which include the UCM (United Colonies of Mankind), The Scourge, Shaltari Tribes, PHR (Post-Human Republic).
UCM (United Colonies of Mankind - Are are the basic humans, They were the most powerful faction in space, but were crushed in battle by the central worlds (including Earth). They tend to be a little lower tech.
PHR (Post-Human Republic) - Rely on advanced technology and weaponry.
Scourge - The Scourge consist of bio-mechanically-inspired aliens. They were the ones who overran earth, and are enemies of humans.
Shaltari Tribes - Use Teleportation. The troops are fast, but fragile They sort of have an Eldar flavor to them.
They are also making terrain/buildings. The Buildings are hollow, modular sections. They are going to be released in packs and should be interchangeable with sections.
The game is designed around huge dropships. Most of not all units can be flown with landing craft on to the battlefield. The dropships are available in different sizes and are 1 to 1 scale, i.e. they are designed to transport the actual models used and are scale accordingly.
Apparently they are working on a ruleset, but I am not sure where it stands.
I hear they are looking for both painters and play testers.
Check out their website and twitter account for updates.

Studio Bergstrom, Spaceship Combat
If you're looking for some cool ships that are perfect to reenact Star Wars or Battlestar Galactica, you need to check out Studio Bergstrom's "1" Fighter ships" offerings. Andrew has a ton of fantastic ships for just about any spaceship encounter.
All the 1" fighters I received were well cast, had little to no flash and required no real prep. The prices are really inexpensive for what you get. Most of the fighters are priced around $1.25 to $1.65, which is certainly a great price for metal figures of this size.

Dark Nebula Games, Obsidian Confederation
Here are some of the figures I received from Dark Nebula Games. All the figures were extremely well cast. Each ship comes with a plastic base and a metal stand.
The first releases are for the Cyprian Rift game are the Obsidian Confederation. The figures to the left are the Assault Frigate, Light Carrier and the Destroyer.
As you can see most of the larger ships will be around 4-5 cm long. There are a total of 8 ship classes in the Obsidian Confederation including 2 carriers.

Ogre Kick Starter
Steve Jackson has done something pretty awesome. He is using KickStarter to help make his new upcoming Ogre Game a real winner. As of right now the KickStarter project has raised over $185 thousand dollars...That's right over 185K. Seeing this number actually floored me and seeing what is going to be included will floor just about anyone who is an Ogre fan.
GO checkout the Ogre Kickstarter project and see all the wacky stuff being added to the game.

Sci-Fi gone Medieval
I thought this was rather a cool image when I saw it. A medieval Batman. Sort of food for thought for those sculptors out there looking for different ideas.
I don't think I have seen Batman like this before. Would make a great miniature.
How about a Vader Samurai

Micropanzer Wargame Studio, Amakudari Stomper
Micropanzer Wargame Studio is about to release the big bad Amakudari Stomper. This is one of the most complex multi-part resin figures I have seen. Pre-orders are available now and it should be released at the end of the month. The figure retails for $45 and based on what I have seen, is a pretty sweet deal when compared to the likes of GW models. Only 1 mold run has been ordered, so unless there is a lot demand no more will be made at this time.

Armies Army
I received some figures from Armies Army. The figures look great and compare nicely with other manufacturers 15mm figures. The detail is great for 15mm and I found little if any flash on the ones I received. The bases are a little thicker than ACP Games figures. You will not have to worry about the figures breaking because of a weak base. The figures have that Soviet feel to them, at least to me they do.
Check out ArmiesArmy's blog You can order them via email ordersforarmiesarmy@gmail.com. Each pack of 10 figures will retail around £3.50 GBP

Here is something quite cool from RAFM called the Tumbleweed. The price is Price: $7.95. It's based on a 1920's tank that was never built. Do some gun swapping and you have yourself a very alien looking vehicle.
